Object Name Painting
Description An oil painting of "Sioux Falls in early days." An oil painting depicting the barracks of Fort Dakota and R. F. Pettigrew's Land Office building on the left. Along side the barracks is a tent. Pettigrew's Land Office is a single story building with rectangle front facade with a sign near the top, a door, and one window at the front. The oil painting was done on linen canvas stretched over a pine stretcher. The painting had no frame around it originally.
