Scope & Content A small handbill for Johnston's Gathering and Plaiting Attachment for sewing machines produced The Grover & Baker Sewing Machine Co. in New York. The top of the handbill shows an image of the attachment. The handbill then describes how to place the attachment onto a sewing machine and how to use the attachment. The bottom of the handbill lists the maker's address and notes that such attachments were available for purchase through branch agents.
