Object Name Program
Scope & Content Program for the 1927 Commencement Exercises for Minnehaha County eighth grade students. The ceremony was held Saturday June 4, 1927 at the Congregational Church in Sioux Falls. The event included an instrumental quartet by Mary Dalsgaard, Valberg Christensen, Harvey Johnson, and Verlin Johnson, a reading by Patricia Schmidt, the address by Professor W.I. Early, a reading by Mary Frances Needham, and the presentation of diplomas by Luella Werden-Olen, the County Superintendent. The event concluded with the singing of "America the Beautiful," The lyric of which are printed on the back of the program. The names of all of the graduating students are listed inside the program. Also listed in the program are the names of those students that has the highest score in the state examination. Printed on orange paper.
