A program for the Independence Day celebration at Sioux Falls held on July 4, 1882. The day began with a parade that started at the corner of 9th Street and Main Avenue. The parade traveled to Seney Island for the rest of the day's events, which included music by the Queen City Cornet Band, tube races on the river, and fireworks. Other events around town included a shooting contest, a baseball contest, and pony races.
